Mission Statement: We create meaningful experiences and a feeling of connection and belonging for all through exceptional programs and services with well-maintained parks, public places, natural resources, and historic sites.

What was once a private residence and hotel is now a cultural events center for the community and surrounding areas of Gainesville, Florida. This Mediterranean Revival-style building is the settling for contemporary art exhibitions multiple restored period rooms and numerous historical exhibits. Its meeting rooms and performance spaces have become sought-after venues for weddings, conferences, and social events. The Thomas Center provides a versatile space that contributes to the cultural, civic and social life of Gainesville.

The Thomas Center is available for bookings for events with limited attendance.

 



Call to artists for Serenity – Art in Meditation 
The City of Gainesville’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, Cultural Affairs Division is seeking artists for the Thomas Center Gallery summer exhibition. The deadline is Friday, Feb. 7.
