The work of eight contemporary Cuban artists will open with a reception honoring guest artists Osmeivy Ortega, Jorge Otero and Lisandra Ramírez. Three of the artists and the Curator, Gabriela Azcuy, will be the guests of honor at the opening reception.

At the gallery opening, guest artists Lisandra Ramírez, Osmeivy Ortega, Jorge Otero, as well as Curator Gabriela Azcuy will speak informally at 7 pm. The topic of the talk is Cuba Ahora – the Next Generation.

Both of the 82ºW exhibitions are part of the region-wide Bulla Cubana celebration of Cuban culture and are free and open to the public with the support of Milestone Advisory Partners.

Premier Cuban printmaker Osmeivy Ortega comes from Havana to Gallery Protocol to install and open a pop-up exhibit of his oversize woodcut prints.
Exhibit Hours: Sunday, January 15, 12 pm – 3 pm, Monday, January 16, 10 am – 5 pm.
Opening reception and party is a festive evening with a Cuban beat! Cigars, mojitos, and Cuban small bites to the sounds of Reggaeton.
